It's a satin pillowcase, not sure why it can't be called that. Great dupe for a real silk pillowcase for hair purposes but there is a difference overall.

Faux-silk Pillowcase

The hem at the top ripped after about 4 washings. I will be calling customer service to either get a refund or replacement. I liked it but it tore with normal usage.

So Soft

It's actually just polyester, but it feels so smooth and silk-like! It virtually eliminates the production of "sleep marks" that may happen while sleeping. I know when I use a cotton pillowcase, for example, I often awaken with creases from the case. This is a nice (and soft) alternative!
