Inspired by the symbiosis of dualities, Clarissa Long translates her vision of contrasts across her chosen material using alternative manufacturing methods. She challenges preconceived notions, prompting others to challenge their way of seeing things. She uses residual materials to breathe life into her jewellery, transforming one person's trash into another's wonderful and original treasures. Her Overcast series is inspired by storms and the disruptions they cause. Each piece is hand-cut and covered with enamel. Each pair of earrings is reversible, doubling expressive opportunities, with one side showcasing a cloudy grey design and the other enhanced with textured black.
