Colour Bleeds in Wash

Following the washing instructions found on the tags, I threw these napkins in the wash prior to using them the first time. They were completely faded and the colour bled so much it stained the other napkins - I've got orange splotches on all the other napkins. I hoped maybe they would look a little better after a quick iron, but all that did was transfer the dye from the napkins onto my ironing board. Now these napkins just sit in a drawer because I'm scared of what horrors await when I use them, but they're new and I spent money on them, so I feel too guilty to throw them out. These napkins are a crisis.

Beautiful and rustic. But because they're 100% cotton, they will require ironing and will fade over time. Nonetheless, I really like them.
