This designed by Swedish label Stora Skuggan is based on a fantastic legend. An ancient king named Yuvanaswa, who wanted to have children more than anything, asked a wise man to prepare a magic potion to make his dream come true. But in a strange turn of events, Yuvanaswa drank the precious elixir that was intended for the Queen and ended up carrying her child. As Yuvanaswa obviously could not feed his newborn, the king of the gods, Indra, cut his thumb so that the he could drink the nectar of life. And this would be why children still suck their thumbs today, driven by the memory of this story and their divine ancestors.
